MacPaint - to shrink a full page - go to Show Page, take a screen snapshot of the Show Page window by pressing the COMMAND, SHIFT and 3 keys simultaneously (you are creating a MacPaint document).  Open the document  you just created and select the image.  Cut it to the Clipboard and paste it into your document.
